6 Things You Need to Do Before Moving To Seattle

Oh, so you’re looking to move? Well, here are six things you need to know before moving to Seattle.

Hi, this is Lucas with Compass Real Estate from Seattle, Washington and if you’re thinking of moving to Seattle, that’s a fantastic idea and really the first step into moving into Seattle is to get in touch with us. Give us a call, send us a text, pigeon, mail, whatever works for you. Get ahold of us. We’re fairly easy to get ahold of but really the first step is getting ahold of a good local realtor who knows the market even if you’re not looking to purchase. We have a ton of experience in the Seattle market. We could educate you so that way you’re well-prepared whenever the time is right. We love answering questions, helping people out. If you need a friend, text me. Anything real estate related in the Seattle market or not, don’t hesitate to reach out. You’re looking to move to Seattle from out of state.

Step number one we got down. You’re coming and getting in touch with us. Give us a call, shoot us a text.

Step number two, what we’ll then do is set up a Zoom call. It’s about a 15 to 20-minute Zoom call where we figure out exactly what you’re looking for, what your needs are, how your lifestyle is and we’ll give you some feedback as to which areas you might like.

Step number three, we set you up in a customized Compass search. What’s really neat about the Compass search is that we could get you access to homes that are not yet on the market so listings that are in the process of coming on the market and you could request the tour through our Compass search, you can calculate your monthly payments. It’s 100% free. It doesn’t cost anything. You’ll be set up in a custom search.

Step number four, set up a time to fly into Seattle. We’ll pick you up from the airport, give you an idea of different areas that you might like that might fit your lifestyle. We’ll drive you around. We explain these areas to you. We’ll highlight the pros and cons of each area ’cause we’re not biased in any way. We wanna give you the truth and we help you educate and get accustomed to a new marketplace. We’ll look at some homes in different areas so you could start to understand which neighborhood might be right for you.

So step number five is once you are pre-approved, once we conducted our Zoom call and we have a good idea as to what you’re looking for. now we have your search set up, you have gotten pre-approved with a lender, we picked you up from the airport, we showed you a bunch of different areas in a matter of a few days, now you have a better understanding of where you’d like to buy. So then we focus our attention and effort on one specific area which is a neighborhood you want to move into or an area you want to move into and we could start making offers in that area so that way you buy your house.

Step number six, well, step number six is the best part. You move in. You come to Seattle, you establish your new life here. We help you get set up in utilities and we help educate you as to moving companies that are gonna be needed and the whole process which is pretty much a hassle but we help you out with every step of the transaction so that way if you’re moving from Idaho to Seattle or the Bay Area to Seattle, you’re well-prepared and we make the whole transition as seamless and stress-free as possible. We do our very best to providing the most amount of value. We don’t get paid for the articles and blogs we post.
